After only a couple of presentations on the runways of Belgrade Fashion Week, it is clear that this young designer operates with a distinctive vision.

Once you’ve been introduced to her work, you’ll certainly be able to spot Milica Vukadinovic’s man:  he is not afraid of risks, neither in fashion nor in life.

This spring, Milica Vukadinovic proposes the urban-warrior-look. The fashion collection bares the name HAIDUK, an English-friendly variation of the Serbian word hajduk, which denotes a Balkans’s romanticized rebel that fought against the Ottoman Empire.

But it wouldn’t be fashion if the traditional figures weren’t given a rather untraditional spin, would it, now?

Vukadinovic’s Haiduk relinquishes sharp knives and dresses sharp instead. Call it urban minimalism with strong sportswear influences. Vukadinovic presented a dominantly monochromatic line up and played with various fabrics so as to create a visually strong statement: lots of sheer paneling gave Haiduk lightness while leather pieces and over-sized neoprene sweatshirt emphasized his masculinity and strength.

The fashion designer thoroughly incorporated her M V logo, aiming to achieve the Alexander-Wang-effect. With massive signs that read ‘warrior’ and ‘order’, Vukadinovic declared herself as a fashion force to be reckoned with!

Milica Vukadinovic graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade with merit award of the Association of Applied Arts Artists and Designers of Serbia. Since, Vukadinovic regularly presents her fashion collections of menswear in Serbia and abroad.
