During the last Belgrade Fashion Week, much of it was in the spirit of Great Britain. Apart from the joint collection called ’’Black Celebration’’, which honored the music band Depeche Mode, the “British Day” was entirely devoted to the unique fashion and style of the Island. Furthermore, after the informative and inspiring fashion conference, a fashion show of graduates and young designers was held on the same day.

B Future assembled some of the most promising young designers from Serbia, including Danica Aleksic, Ivana Ristic, Julija Djerkovic, KLASA, Lidija Andric, Mina Jankovic, Mirjana Sarac, Petra Kosnic, Tamara Paunovic, Tijana Milutinovic and Zorana Stojanovic. Their strong creative energy and fashion-forward clothes connected the different perspectives into a coherent whole.

Tamara Paunovic opted for the wide hippie sleeves and a lot of flounces on a dress and the following blouses. The pants were made of two different fabrics in earthy tones, while one of the looks featured slim pants with quirky vertical side ruffles.

Behind the fashion brand KLASA stands a group of young designers from the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade. They presented modern women’s and men’s pieces in neutral colors that exude the effortless aesthetic. Long coats with an overlap were in the core of Ivana Ristic’s proposal, which emitted somewhat dark and mystical vibe. Julija Djerkovic gave her version of a futuristic warrior, who will, from her point of view, probably wear leather pants with metal knee patches, surprisingly massive jackets/sweatshirts and leather or suede capelets. Zorana Stojanovic set a new foundation of the business dress code and made it more casual by adding cowl neckline and the attention-grabbing draping.

The simplicity of Mina Jankovic’s offering was comprised of a long white dress and a monochrome outfit with the swaying palazzo pants. Danica Aleksic chose transparent materials which shaped the silhouettes with the natural fall and the resulting folds. The man in the eyes of Mirjana Sarac wears spontaneous futuristic ensembles that consist of the low V-Necks and bold short blazers.

The standout piece in Lidija Andric’s line-up is a beige coat which appeared very simple at first glance, but as soon as the model turned, we could see that the whole lower back part was missing. The provocative femininity was best shown in the looks signed by Petra Kosnic. Namely, she picked out two short monochrome dresses with a few peplums, side cut-outs and a plunging neckline, side by side with the high-waisted white jumpsuit. A black suit with sewn cylinder metallic blue sequins designed by Tijana Milutinovic closed this extensive fashion show.

The program B Future was launched to promote young designers and, from the next fall, it is expected to turn into the competition for the unestablished designers.
